Information on TikTok from Ada County Sheriff's Office

Dear Kuna School District Guardians & Staff:

Today, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office notified the Kuna School District of warnings being posted on TikTok (social media) nationwide about the threat of school violence on December 17, 2021. These posts are being shared across the country and law enforcement authorities report that there is currently no information that these warnings are directed toward any Kuna School District school.

We are committed to working with our school resource officers and Ada County Sheriff’s Office to ensure appropriate school safety precautions are taken.

Our first priority each and every school day is the safety and security of our students and staff members.  Please use this situation as an opportunity to speak to your child about using social media platforms in a responsible way and to not spread false or inaccurate information as it can create unnecessary fear within the community.

It is important that if any student, parent/guardian, staff member or community member sees something suspicious, please report it to law enforcement immediately. You can also make a tip at Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS (2677) or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
