Get Ready to Learn Kuna Steering Committee
Kuna School District is proud to be part of a community collaborative called Get Ready to Learn, Kuna.
The purpose of the Get Ready to Learn Kuna Steering Committee is to collaborate as a community to improve the percentage of students who enter kindergarten prepared for school. Children with higher levels of school readiness at a young age are more successful in school, less likely to drop out, and will earn more as adults. Children who enter kindergarten without the basic skills that they need to succeed in school rarely catch up to their peers without resource-intensive early intervention.
In 2020, we were one of 15 communities to receive a planning grant and implementation grant.Below are resources for parents to support their young learners.
My Place Preschool is a proud Kuna Early Learning Collaborative Partner, a non-profit community group whose shared vision is to ensure "All Kuna Children Will Be Kindergarten Ready." In our new Kuna Nazarene location, we will continue the implementation of our high quality preschool for the third year in a row, offering two full day preschool classes with extended hours to meet the work schedule needs of our families.
